As a Product Manager for the Ranking and Relevance team within the OLX Motors Division, you will lead the change in creating a seamless and engaging user experience for millions of automotive enthusiasts and you will be reporting to one of our Heads of Product.
You will drive the strategic development and execution of search ranking algorithms and recommendation systems across all OLX Motors platforms. Your role will help shape the way users discover and interact with listings, enhancing user satisfaction and business growth.
What you will be doing:
- Strong User-centric Approach: Act as a strong advocate for our users, understanding their needs, wants and pain points to drive product enhancements that deliver a top-notch user experience.
- Vision & Strategy development: Develop and execute a holistic strategy for optimizing search ranking algorithms and recommendation systems across OLX Motors platforms, encompassing web and mobile applications.
- Search Ranking Algorithms: Take ownership of the search ranking algorithms, ensuring they deliver accurate and relevant search results to users based on various factors like user preferences, listing quality, and engagement metrics.
- Recommendation Systems: Lead the enhancement and management of recommendation systems, providing users with personalized and enticing suggestions for automotive listings.
- Data-Driven Insights & Roadmap: Utilize data analytics and user insights to make informed decisions, regularly monitoring key performance indicators for improvement and optimization. Convert these insights into an opportunity roadmap that balances both short & long term customer & business success.
- A/B Testing and Iteration: Conduct A/B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses, measure the impact of changes, and iterate on product improvements for search ranking and recommendations.
- Cross-Platform Alignment: Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, UX/UI, and business teams to ensure a seamless and consistent experience of ranking and relevance mechanisms across all OLX Motors platforms.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive developments in search ranking and recommendation technologies, leveraging insights to drive product innovation.
- Ensure strong collaboration with your stakeholders and alignment with business objectives.
Your Profile:
- Proven track record in product management, with a focus on ranking and relevance for online marketplaces or related platforms. You have 3 years experience in the product management field.
- Experience owning and managing search ranking algorithms and recommendation systems is highly desirable.
- You aim to deeply understand and delight customers, using your strong analytical skills and product knowledge to invent on their behalf, delivering great features at scale and driving large swings in key users and business metrics.
- You are experienced in data driven product development and applying A/B testing, user research, conversion optimization, user testing, data analysis, competitor and market analysis in your decision making
- You value collaboration and diverse and inclusive teams. You also value building consensus in and outside of your teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- You take full end-to-end responsibility for your product. You will have guidance from the Head of products but we also look for proactive individuals.
- You are required to be proficient in English.
